First draft of 'Rebel Dreams' is complete! And a rebrand for my substack
It's incredible to be at the end of the book! And ahead of schedule.
Draft 1 of ‘Rebel Dreams’ is done! And it feels like a good draft, coming from over a decade of field work, and five years of hard thinking, and three years working to get conscious of what the process is.
It’s about 157 pages, and 55,000 words. That’s feels a good place to wrap.
Two announcments
So I have two announcements; one is that this substack is rebranded to fit in with my larger brand, DreamAgain.
As I keep posting the chapters here for members, this will become the hub for courses, workshops, and inspiring stuff that I come across.
I’m refocusing DreamAgain Marketing as a freelance service to become a community for millennial creators, like me, and you.
The key reason I rebranded to the parent brand, instead of the book title, is because I know myself. I need a simple, overarching project name that can hold many kinds of smaller projects. ‘Rebel Dreams’ may not be the only book I write. Or I might create a course with a different name. So I’m pivoting now to give myself freedom, and save myself from locking in too tightly.
Second announcement: I’ve accepted a new job, working with the Catholic Men’s Leadership Alliance. We’ll be working to coach leaders to create local, diocesan, and parish-based groups to inspire and empower men.
You can check out my talk that I gave at their last summit!
What’s next?
Beta readers are kindly working away, leaving feedback. As they clear through the first few chapters, I’ll continue to add them to the blog.
I plan to schedule a 6-part paid workshop, to go over the key elements of the DREAMS acronym, and review the areas of the book.
I’ll likely announce that in a few weeks, once my new job settles, and the partnership with Good Counsel Careers comes together.
Soon, the whole book will be live here on this substack, and it will become a course.
