Well, not directly inspired it, but his one liner is what pulled everything into focus. He described a story of a man who upended animal euthanasia practices in California to promote more adoption, with no budget or authority, and made a difference in a hundred days.
He then went on to rinse-and-repeat his process in whole new cities, and it worked.
Plus, the talk is stacked with the kind of self-motivated leadership that this community is all about - show up and take notice, instead of sitting back and waiting to be noticed.
